Our Unique Location

Syncline Winery is located along the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area in southern Washington State.

The lay of the land is rugged beauty with stunning geological features. Here, the Columbia River cuts the only sea-level passageway through the Cascade Mountain Range. The Gorge transitions between temperate rainforest to dry grasslands in only 80 miles, hosting a dramatic change in scenery while driving through the deep canyon on highways either side of the Columbia River.

The Winery and estate vineyards are located on a southern slope, on the eastern edge of the Columbia Gorge AVA. We are in the transition zone between Hood River and The Dalles, where vegetation turns to dry woodlands of Oregon White Oak and Ponderosa Pine.

Local Weather

Pack a cooler for wine transportation in summer months. The Gorge is quite hot in July and August. Click on the link below for a weather report specific to Lyle, WA
