We want to thank our fantastic customers for sharing!

transparent ..
Dear James and Poppie,

My wife and I have just been introduced to your wine through a restaurant in Cleveland, the Greenhouse. We love it. It is perhaps the best red we have had all year. And that includes a 2 week trip through Provence this past summer. And we are off to Napa this week and I expect to be disappointed by what we taste. I only wish we could have been introduced to you after our trip – then we would not be disappointed by Napa!

You are truly talented.

We have never signed up for a wine club, but I can’t find it sold anywhere else near me, so we will likely sign up.

Keep up the great work.

I’d like to tell you I didn’t get my Wine Club shipment in the hopes you would send me another – but what I have to confess is that I got it and have drunk it all already. Just great stuff. Thanks. I enjoy your wines so much.

Hi Syncline!
I just has my first sip of the 2008 Subduction Red. All I can say is mmmmm… I am the Beer and Wine steward at the Greenlake PCC so I have had, and loved, many of your wines over the years. I just wanted to say thanks
for doing what you do. I love selling, and drinking your wines. I really enjoyed the Gruner Veltliner this summer and am thouroughly enjoying the transition to the Subduction Red on this rainy night. It went perfectly with my pumpkin ravioli with brown butter and Chantrelles!

Keep it up!

De-stemming

2008 Subduction Red Released October 8th

08 Subduction RedIt’s here! The popular, ripe and hedonistic 2008 Subduction Red. This vintage features a blend of 26% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 24% Cinsault, 12% Mourvedre, 9% Counoise and 4% Carignan.  We produced 1770 Cases of this vintage, stock up for fall by picking some up at the winery or you can purchase online with our easy to use online store. You can also call or e-mail your order!

  • $18.00 a bottle, $194.40 a Case
  • Wine Club Members $14.40 a bottle, $172.80 a Case

Here’s what Michael Teer of Pike and Western said about the latest vintage of Subduction Red:

“This may be the best Subduction to date and it is quite different from previous vintages. It may be the vintage or it may be that they are now using more (six) Rhone varietals (grenache, syrah, cinsault, mourvedre, counoise and carignan). Whatever it is the wine shows a brighter, redder fruited character. In addition it seems more layered and complex. I can’t wait to take a bottle home.”

More customer love!

A few words from our wonderful customers:

Thank you for accommodating our visit to Syncline on August 30th. We thoroughly enjoyed the time you spent with us as we tasted through the portfolio of wines. Your knowledge, patience and generosity made for a wonderful introduction to the wines of the Columbia River Gorge, and it was a pleasure to meet you and discuss our shared passion.

We enjoyed a bottle of your outstanding 2008 Roussanne with dinner at Cannon Beach, and look forward to enjoying the reds we carried home with us.

As promised, I will share this extremely positive experience with my friends and industry colleagues in the Philadelphia area. If there is anything else I can do to help promote Syncline wines, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,

Michael Ahlborn

Customer Testimonials

We have a whole page dedicated to praise we receive from professional wine reviewers and the press, but we also receive some wonderful accolades from customers who drink our wine just for the love of it. Here is a sampling of e-mail messages, Facebook posts and tweets from the month of June:

“just wanted to let you know that my search for a real South of France sitting in the sunshine Rose’ is over. Your 2008 Rose’ was great!!!  My wife and I have been to the Minervois area many times and have grown very fond of the dry rose’ available there. The Sincline 2008 would compete with any we tasted!  Also, had your Mourvedre.  No need to travel to France when this wine is available here.  Thanks,
John Magoteaux”

“2008 Syncline rose tastes like memories of eating not quite ripe strawberries off the vine. A rose for big kids- rharn” –via Twitter

“Bought this years Viognier at Syncline last weekend. I am not usually a white wine kind of a gal, but his wine tasted like liquid sunshine in field of flowers.” –Janice McCall Marsh

“Had a bottle of Syncline Pinot Noir at Lola on Thursday…fabulous.” –Jamie Michelle Peha

“Just drank your rosé this afternoon w/ Michael & Kelly after we closed the shop. Drinking even better than before. Thx, guys!” –via Twitter

“the mouthfeel of the Syncline Mouvedre is like sex in a bottle” -via Twitter

“This rose, with its meticulous structure, provided bursts of strawberry and hints of cantaloupe with a tinge of mango thrown in.” –Wine and Trip Blog
